A huge thank you to everyone who takes an interest in our small charity. Whether you pop along to our events to say hello; help out; make a donation; bring treats; hug our hounds; sign up to volunteer; take a leaflet to share with friends; bring bedding; show an interest; take the time to care; think about fostering or adopting – you are all stars!
There’s lots to smile about! Beautiful boy Tag (right) went to start a trial in his new home recently. Here he is enjoying a ‘playdate’ with his litter brother Curtis and G.R.A.C.E founder Tracy Cook. These two special boys were found in the most appalling conditions when they were rescued by G.R.A.C.E over 3 years ago. Curtis has been in his forever home for a while now, so we’re thrilled that it is Tag’s turn P.S. Thank you Tracy Cook for saving their lives – you are awesome!
A special thank you to ‘handmade in the UK’ soft furnishing company Pins and Ribbons (www.pinsandribbons.co.uk). They have named their new greyhound silhouette fabric after one of our rescue dogs, Curtis. Plus for every item bought in the ‘Curtis the Greyhound’ fabric they are donating 10% of the RRP to G.R.A.C.E!! You can buy the fabric by the metre, or order the Pins and Ribbons soft furnishings range, which includes lampshades, cushions and memo boards.

To celebrate the fifth nationwide ‘Great British Greyhound Walk’, G.R.A.C.E organised a one hour walk for dog lovers and their four legged friends around the grounds of Preston Park in Eaglescliffe. The event primarily involved hundreds of organised walks, not just in the UK but now worldwide, all taking place on the same day. 2015 was a record breaking year for the Great British Greyhound Walk with a total of 150 walks organised, resulting in over 4,600 dogs participating. Phew, that’s a lot of tired legs!
