Out and about at Northallerton Craft Fair

Thank you to everyone who came to support us recently at Northallerton Craft Fair and for all the donations received of cash and items (from Lynn and the humans of Florence, Rory, Luca and Otto).

We made a fabulous £242!! Thanks to Jumping Frog Crafts for hosting us as always. Here’s a pic of gorgeous G.R.A.C.E boy Otto to melt your hearts on what was already a hot day!

Sad news about Mason

A few weeks ago Emma contacted us as her beautiful G.R.A.C.E boy Mason was limping and had been to the vets and given pain relief. Unfortunately, after some hope that amputation may be possible, our vet looked at Mason’s x-rays but immediately saw an aggressive osteosarcoma.

As you may know this extremely quick and aggressive cancer rarely has a positive outcome, so unfortunately Emma and the rest of the family had to make the devastating decision to let Mason go.

Mason was a much loved member of the family who will always be remembered. Sending love from all of us at G.R.A.C.E Nothing can make the pain any easier. Sleep gently Mason,

Sad farewell to Winnie

Sadly Linda and Philip had to say goodbye by Winnie recently. Winnie has lived with Phil, Linda and Taylor for three years and has enjoyed lots of holidays in the motorhome.

Winnie became unwell and was in considerable pain and was finding it difficult to walk around and be comfortable.

The vet came out and felt the best for Winnie was to let him go peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Winnie is now at peace with Phil and Linda’s other hounds. Rest easy big lad.

Heskey crosses the rainbow bridge

Sadly much-loved GRACE boy Heskey crossed the rainbow bridge this month.

First adopted in the UK via GRACE, Heskey moved with is family to Lanzarote where he was known as ‘el guapo.’

His Mum Deidre described him as a unique character – so placid and calm, he loved humans, all animals (especially cats) and even flowers.

He loved to run for fun on the beach and chilling out in the lagoon.

A huge thank you to Deidre and family for giving Heskey such an amazing life. Sleep tight beautiful boy.

A big thank you to ‘Jollyes – the Pet People’ on Portrack Lane, Stockton for allowing a collecting tin in their store. We made £35.86 .

Rosie loses her fight for life

Sadly after a long hard fight, Rosie passed away this week. She enjoyed the months she was with us along with her brother Johnny.

A huge thank you to Harriet who cared for Rosie and Johnny and provided the best care. We didn’t get to the reason behind Rosie’s anaemia, but we know she wasn’t in pain at the end.

Johnny is managing without Rosie as has the company of two other hounds from GRACE and continues to be cared for by Harriet.
