Looking for homes
Find out a bit about each of our delightful dogs who are all looking for loving, forever homes.
Keep up to date with what they are up to via our Facebook page too!
Lovely Lottie is 4 years old and is very friendly and playful. She is good on her lead, good in the house and in the car. She is also good with other dogs and loves to play. She is a very cheeky, loving girl. Lottie is not cat friendly.
Lewis is a 5 year old black greyhound boy. Lewis is very affectionate and loving. He enjoys playing with toys. Lewis seems good around most dogs and could be cat trainable. Lewis is in foster care at the moment as an only dog and is thriving on the extra attention. Lewis likes using a crate to get his quiet time.
Please excuse the grainy photo, but we are waiting to get some new pics taken of Penny. As she is new to us and we are waiting for her to come into our care. Penny is 2 years old and she is OK with larger dogs, but not yet confident around small dogs - we will work on this when she comes into our care. Penny is not cat friendly.
Stunning new girl Nina has only just arrived with us. She is still a bit shy of new people but is slowly coming round. We are getting to know her so that we can find the perfect forever home to call her own.
This gorgeous girl is Simone who is another new girl who has recently arrived with us. She has already settled in and we are getting to know her personality so that we can match her with the right home.
She has only just arrived with us so we are still getting to know beautiful Leona, who is looking for a forever home.
Bill and Sky
It’s under extremely sad and difficult circumstances that we have been asked to take these two older sweethearts under our wing. The rough coated lurcher girl is Sky and she is 7 years old. Sky needs an experienced home, with or without another dog. Sky can be nervous around strangers, but she loves people she knows and bonds quickly. The fawn boy is Bill and he is 12 years old. Bill would be best in a quiet home and needs a home within the Teesside area to allow for his check-ups at the vets as sadly has arthritis. Both dogs are good with kids and other dogs. Bill needs permanent long-term foster care - G.R.A.C.E will cover veterinary costs, food, treats - all we need is a special someone to offer him a home and love him. Sky is looking for a forever home she can call her own. Leaving their family home has been traumatic enough for them, so we are keen to find the right homes for this special pair. Although they are well bonded, they don't necessarily need to be re-homed together.
Freddie is an 11 month old lurcher (greyhound X collie) and he has been with us for a few weeks so we are still getting to know him. He is currently being fostered by one of our volunteers. What we know about him so far is that Freddie is more accepting of rules and boundaries than when he first came to us. His walking on a lead is much improved. e believe that Freddie can be trained to be accepting of cats. Freddie is great with all the dogs he has met on walks too. He has calmed down a lot and can now be left for short periods. He definitely needs to live with another dog so that he has a pal to play with and who can help to show Freddie the ropes. Someone around most of the day would be ideal for Freddie and older children/ teenagers as he might be too bouncy for little children and can be quite boisterous when he plays. Freddie loves to cuddle up and takes treats very nicely.
This pretty 5 year old girl is Ella. She would suit a home with sighthound experience as can be 'keen' around some small dogs and is not cat friendly. Ella is very loving towards people and children and has been fostered with small children. Ella walks well on her lead and travels well in the car.
Daisy is a lovely 5+ year old girl. She is currently fostered with other dogs. She only came into G.R.A.C.E on 1st September so she is just learning the ropes. Daisy will soon be neutered and once assessed will be ready to move into a new home. Please contact us if you are interested in offering this beautiful girl a forever home.
This lovely boy is Jonah and he is 3 years old. He loves to play and would suit a home which already has another dog. Jonah enjoys his walks and is getting used to small dogs. However, he couldn't live with cats or small furry animals. Jonah would suit a family with older children, as he can be quite bouncy. Jonah is improving on the lead and he is attending socialising classes with other dogs. Jonah is very affectionate and loves people.
This handsome boy is Joshua. He is 5 years old and has only recently come into our rescue. He seems OK with other dogs. He walks well on his lead and is a happy boy. He is possibly cat friendly and are in the process of assessing this.
This beautiful girl is Tiffany. She is approximately 5+ years old and is great with larger dogs. As she has only recently come into G.R.A.C.E we are also socialising her with other sized dogs. Tiffany walks well on her lead and is a happy, friendly girl. She would suit a family with older children as she is quite lively.
Duke (NB: Out at trial home)
This handsome boy is Duke and he is an 18 month old lurcher. He would be fine as an only dog and he is very independent. He's fine with children, but needs someone who can keep up his training as he can be a bit rude! He will push through doors in front of people if not told etc.
Ozzie (NB: Out at trial home)
Gorgeous Ozzie is 6 years old and a gentle giant. He is in need of a foster or permanent home. Ozzie is learning the ropes so can't live with cats or small animals. Ozzie is a really sweet boy, but as he is strong on his lead when he is out and about, he would be best suited to an experienced home.
Mitzi (NB: Out at trial home)
Unfortunately it's not working out for Mitzi at her home, so G.R.A.C.E has offered to help find her a forever home. Mitzi has lived with large dogs, but has developed a dislike for smaller dogs. Mitzi is 6 years old and is vaccinated, neutered and micro-chipped.
Bud (NB: Out at trial home)
Bud is 5 years old and came to us with Lou. He is a lovely boy and quite confident. He could live as an only dog, but hasn’t been tested to see if he is cat-friendly yet.
Francesca (Out at trial home)
Francesca is great with other dogs, but would be happy as an only dog too. She is quite lively so best suited to a home with older children, rather than youngsters, as she can ‘play nip’. She is a confident happy girl. (Photo credit: Jakob Grant)
