Vincent is currently in foster with various sized dogs and gets on with them all. He has only just come into our care so has not been cat tested yet. Vincent is a happy boy.
Beautiful Sky is a 7 year old rough coated lurcher and is still looking for a special forever home to call her own. She came to us originally when her owner sadly passed away. Sky isn’t cat friendly and can be 'shouty' to other dogs if you let her. She is house trained and walks very well on her lead and doesn’t pull.
We have two Frankies with us at the moment - one black and one brindle. This Frankie is a quiet and gentle, gorgeous brindle boy. He is currently out at a trial home to check that he will get on with another greyhound who is already in the family. We are keeping fingers and paws crossed that all works out well for him.
Just to confuse things, we have two Rosies who are looking for homes! Rosie No. 2 is six years old. She is not cat friendly or good with small dogs so she would suit a home as an only dog or with larger breeds. She is currently living with a foster family who have two Border Collies.
Honey is new into the rescue and currently in foster with other dogs. She would prefer a home with another large dog. If you can help please this gorgeous girl, get in touch.
Bea was out on trial, but unfortunately her family have had a change in circumstances so she has to come back into the rescue. Bea can be reactive with some smaller dogs, but we think that it’s purely down to the fact that she’s unfamiliar with other breeds and it has been improving.
This handsome lad is Scar and he's a 6 year old greyhound boy. We are looking for a special home for Scar as he gets a bit possessive over his food bowl. He needs an understanding adopter with no young children who may want to put their fingers in his bowl. Scar has lived in kennels with a greyhound girl, so could be rehomed with a female greyhound or similar size. If you feel you have the experience to offer this handsome lad a home please get in touch.
With that gorgeous face and the name Hope, we are keeping everything crossed that it won't be long before this beautiful girl finds a forever home she can call her own.
Lovey boy Rory is currently out at a trial home and judging by this photo, he seems quite pleased about it!
Six year old Sacha is a saluki and looking for a home. He is cat and dog friendly. Sacha has some experience around children but won't be suitable for a home with young children. How could you resist that gorgeous face?
This handsome boy is Duke, an 18 month old lurcher. Because he is young, he is still learning the ropes and working on his manners, so would suit a home where someone could keep up his training.
Flossie is 4 years old and is great with dogs of all sizes. She loves people and life in general!
Super cute Milo is still very young and still learning the ropes. He would be suited to a home where he could continue his training.
Shadow is a handsome 5 year old boy. He's such an adorable boy, loves being around people, gets on well with other dogs but prefers larger dogs. Shadow is in a foster home as an only dog and is loving life in a home environment. Shadow walks well on the lead and is eager to learn new things. If you can offer Shadow his perfect forever home please get in touch.
We’ve been asked to share Miley on our page. She’s 5 years old and a loving girl that craves human attention and love. Miley loves long walks and would be suited to an active family with older or no children as she’s a little jumpy. She is good with other dogs and she’s spayed and chipped.
We have two Frankies with us at the moment. This Frankie is a 5 year old black greyhound boy, who is very friendly with people. He is probably not cat friendly and has just come into the rescue so will undergo a period of rehabilitation. Frankie is going to a foster home so we will get further updates soon.
Finn is a 3 year old brindle boy, who is currently being looked after by one of our fabulous G.R.A.C.E volunteer foster families who are getting to know his personality. He is a very confident young man and is learning what it is like to live in a home environment. Finn is great with other dogs, but not cats. He enjoys his walks and playing.
Ash is a lovely 3 year old boy who is looking for a forever home. He's a very happy, affectionate boy. He is great with other dogs, but yet to be tested to see whether he is cat-friendly. He's great in all ways. We believe he would prefer a home with another dog as he loves to play!
Jude is a 14 month old boy who recently underwent an amputation. Greyhounds do well on three legs. Jude is only young and is already adapting well to life as a tripaw. Jude will need a very special home once he has healed. He’s a lovely, happy boy.
Elsa is 2 years old and a confident, friendly girl. She could be an only dog or live with another dog. Elsa is used to small children and is great with other dogs.
Pearl is a 4 year old petite greyhound girl. She can be boisterous and has a strong prey drive so she will need a sighthound experienced home. Pearl will need to be muzzled on walks. She could possibly live in a home with dog savvy teens, but no small children. She is also small dog trainable. Pearl can be a little timid with strangers, but once she knows you she loves a good fuss.
Abbi is a 6 year old laid back girl. She absolutely loves attention and loves her cuddles. When she’s not getting cuddles she never moves from her bed. She could go to a home with older children and is small dog trainable.
Flyer is an 8 year old lively girl. She is friendly but doesn’t crave attention. She is good with other dogs, but doesn’t like to share so we think she would be best suited as an only dog. She will need an experienced home without young children.
Lohan is a 6 year old laid back girl. Due to her quiet nature she would be better suited to a quiet home. She can have a sensitive tummy so needs to be fed hypoallergenic food. Lohan doesn’t travel well and will need to be muzzled in the car. She is trainable to be around small dogs.
Apache is 7 years old and a big softie. He can play nip when excited though so would not recommend that he lived with small children. Apache is small dog trainable. He had a toe amputated a while back, but this doesn’t affect him at all. He is a big friendly boy who loves his food.
Handsome Winny is a 7 year old boy. He is extremely friendly and behaves more like a lab than a greyhound! He is great with other greyhounds, but a bit wary of other breeds - this could be workable though. We would not recommend that he lived with small children due to his enthusiastic nature.
After an anxious start, Sam (aged 3 and a half) has quickly settled into life as a pet and enjoys company, but will settle and sleep when left alone. He gets on well with other dogs when he has been properly introduced, but hasn't been cat tested and is unsure around young children. He's very affectionate, likes cuddles and to play. His recall is good in a securely fenced area and he walks well on the lead. Sam is a lovely boy and will be a great companion.
New boy Blake is 3 years old and really lovely. He has just come into the rescue, but is already settling in. Blake gets on with other dogs, but has not been tested with cats yet.
Tiny is two years old and is a very friendly girl. She is only small, hence her name! She can be quite boisterous so would need a more active home. Tiny isn't small dog tested but gets on well with other greyhounds. She could possibly be homed with dog-savvy older children.
Two year old Rioga, or Rio for short, is a lively and very friendly girl. She isn't small dog tested, but she generally doesn't get on well with other dogs (she won't share her sleeping space and is possessive over food with other dogs). We would therefore recommend that she is an only dog. She is brilliant with people and could possibly live with dog-savvy older children.
This beautiful brindle boy is called Foxy and he is two years old. He is quite small for a boy, has a lovely temperament and is laid back. He is also very affectionate. Foxy has never raced, gets on with other greyhounds and is small dog trainable. He is very clingy though and would need an owner who is at home most of the time as he shows signs of having separation anxiety. He would probably be OK to home with children.
We rescued beautiful Joy from terrible circumstances - you can read about her (one of the emaciated hounds) on our news and Facebook pages. Joy has thrived in the care of our G.R.A.C.E volunteers and is now ready for her forever home. She is only two years old and is a very special girl. Joy would love to be an only dog or could live with another dog in the right circumstances. She is not cat or 'small furry friendly'. As Joy is still young, an active family would suit her, with children over 10 as she can be excitable.
Pippa is not under our care, but we are sharing her details on our page as she needs a new home. Her owners rescued Pippa from an allotment as a puppy at 8 weeks old. She is now around two and a half years old and would suit an experienced sighthound home. Her current owners have not made the decision to rehome Pippa lightly, but feel it is not right to keep her. She is a very intelligent girl, so requires lots of mental and physical stimulation. Pippa is quick to learn although she is very stubborn. She broke her leg at 5 months old and had be crated for a considerable period of time, which meant she Pippa missed out on a lot of socialisation with other dogs. Pippa can be quite aggressive towards other dogs whilst she is out and has therefore had to be muzzled at all times on walks. She does play with other dogs she is familiar with, although she can be very boisterous. Pippa also has a very strong prey drive. Although has lived with two cats, it is recommended that she does not go to a home with small furry animals unless she is constantly supervised. It is not recommended that she lives with young children as she is very bullish in her attitude and might knock a young child over.
We've been asked to share Morris, a 2 year old saluki cross, on our webpage. Morris is neutered, fully vaccinated, chipped, wormed etc. He is a lovely and lively boy who needs someone around a lot of the time. He has a lot of energy and would suit someone who could give him the amount of exercise and mental stimulation he needs to be happy. He is very friendly with other dogs, however his manners could improve. He could live with another dog, but is still very playful and sometimes forgets his manners! It might be best that he did not to live with an older dog who may want to rest. Morris loves to run and play and is well trained for treats! He doesn’t have very good recall at the moment but that will need working on. He also mouths a little when excited, but this could be trained out of him as he is very smart. He has lived with children, however due to his size and bounciness it might be best if he is rehomed with older children. Since being a pup has also lived with a cat, who he does like to chase but just in play.
We currently have two Rosies who are looking for homes! Rosie No.1 is a beautiful 4 year old girl who came into rescue in early January. Rosie has lived in a home and would prefer the company of another dog, ideally a male. She is not cat or hedgehog friendly.
This pretty 5 year old girl is Stella. She would suit a home with sighthound experience as can be 'keen' around some small dogs and is not cat friendly. Stella is very loving towards people and children and has been fostered with small children. Ella walks well on her lead and travels well in the car.
Daisy is a lovely 5+ year old girl. She is currently fostered with other dogs. She is learning the ropes. Daisy will soon be neutered and once assessed will be ready to move into a new home. Please contact us if you are interested in offering this beautiful girl a forever home.
