Welcome Buddy (left) and Rufus (right) to the GRACE family. These two 17 month old brothers are coming to GRACE due to a change in their owners circumstances. They have lived together all their lives however we will look at separate homes who have another dog, or you are at home most of the time. Due to their age they will need a home with older children as they are only puppies themselves. Both boys will benefit from additional and ongoing training. Sighthound experienced homes only please. Not cat friendly and need careful introduction to small dogs. Home checks and adoption donation apply. Experienced homes only will be considered. Working in collaboration with another rescue please say a big hello to Jack. Jack is a lurcher (probably saluki, greyhound with a bit of something else). Jack has been let down by humans and has problems being left at the moment, this could be worked on provided you are prepared to be patient with him and have lots of time to give him to settle in. Jack is just over 2 years old. He's a quirky lad but so lovable when he knows and trusts you. Jack came in as a stray, very unsure, nervous and wasn't keen on anyone being near him. His foster carer said he is great with her grandkids, brilliant in the house, no bother on walks meeting other dogs (although he can be a bit grumbly when dogs go past him). Jack travels brilliantly in the car. He likes to play so an active household would be best suited for him. He also likes to have a good free run in a fully enclosed field. He is a counter surfer and always on the look-out for scraps of food. He'll let you know when he wants to go out for a wee either by pacing back and forth at the door, or he'll stare at you and bark. His bad habits are that he will destuff any cuddly toy he gets his teeth on, including cushions. He likes to rip tennis balls apart, and will pick up anything he fancies. His favourite sleeping spot is on the couch next to you, or in the bed by your legs. Jack can be vocal with people he doesn't know, so a slow introduction is needed. He will be very protective of 'his' person. He will want to be near them, cuddle into them and he will stand guard over them. He is a loveable rogue who is absolutely adored and loved by his foster carer. He deserves to have a home who will continue to work with him. If you don't mind giving up half of your sofa, and want a dog that will just want to be with you, then Jack's the boy. Here's Jess a new arrival to the GRACE family. Jess is a happy fun loving girl who is currently being assessed. She is good with large dogs but hasn't seen small dogs. It's unlikely she will be cat friendly. Experienced sighthound foster home needed to give Buddy time to recover. Unfortunately Buddy was wrongly diagnosed with irritable bowel disease and put on steroids and B12 and needs to be weaned off these drugs to allow him to develop into himself. He is struggling at the moment in foster due to the large number of greyhounds. Due to the steroids and B12 he has heightened senses. Buddy needs a quiet foster home to allow him to recover and prepare him for his new life. Do you live in the North East and have considerable experience with sighthounds? If so, could there be a place on your sofa? Ideally Buddy needs a female hound for company or a foster carer who is around a lot of the time as he has never been an only dog. All food, veterinary treatment etc will be provided by GRACE. If you can help please contact Tracy on 07840 771583. Thank you. Welcome Cane, who is a charming blue brindle boy. He is very handsome and laid back. Cane is currently living as an only dog, but he could also live with a nice girl hound. Cane is house trained, walks well on the lead, is very loving and affectionate. He is good with sensible children and isn't bothered by small dogs. Welcome Sam, a 2 year old young boy. Sam is a happy friendly boy who is a bit of a practical joker. He enjoys letting himself out of his kennel and learning other new tricks. Sam is good around large dogs and doesn't seem concerned when out for a walk around small dogs. Sam has not been cat tested as he's currently still in kennels. Sam is looking for a home who will bring out his full potential, but also keep him entertained to prevent his door opening exploits! Bingo is a 6 year old boy, who is very calm and gentle, with such a lovely temperament. He's generally very lazy, but does have a playful side to him. He loves the company of other greyhounds, but hasn't been tested with other breeds. He's not cat friendly. Mist is a lovely blue girl, who is 4 years old. She can be an only dog or live with another large male dog. Mist needs someone with sighthound experience. Welcome Bee, a lovely brindle greyhound girl. Bee is 4 years old, good with other dogs and loves people. Bee is a happy girl, would suit a home as an only dog or can live with another dog. Welcome Dash a very handsome lad, who is 4 years old. Dash can live as an only dog or with another large dog. Dash is not small dog tested yet as he's still in kennels waiting for a foster home. Dash is a quiet lad who would suit living with an older couple. Say hello to 'Private Present' (new name will be given). This lovely quiet boy is 4 years old, can be an only dog or live with another large dog. He's still waiting for a foster home, so yet to be assessed around small dogs. He loves people! Still waiting in kennels is this shy boy, General Jack. He's a very quiet shy boy who needs an adult only home without young children visiting regularly until he gains some confidence. Jack could live with another large dog, or as an only dog. Jack needs a home who are prepared to give him time to settle in and gain in confidence. Say hello to our new grace family member Roger. Roger is a saluki X whippet and he's 6 years old. Judging by the scars on him, he has been used as a 'working lurcher' and not had the best start to life. Roger is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, worm and flea treated. Roger is great around large dogs, but has not been tested around small dogs yet. We imagine that he is not cat friendly. Roger would like a home with adults who have sighthound experience due to his past. Say hello to Manny, who will soon be joining the GRACE family. Manny is a 3 year old boy. Once in foster care, he will be thoroughly assessed as to what home will suit him. Say hello to Smokey, he's an 18 month old lurcher boy who has always lived in a home. Smokey is great with other dogs and children. He is not cat friendly and has a very high prey drive. Smokey would like to have another dog as company and someone with hound experience around as he's not keen being left for too long. Smokey is currently living with a family who took him in to support him and have done a lot of work with him and feel now is the right time for Smokey to find his forever home. If you feel you can offer Smokey his forever home please get in touch. Charlie is a GRACE sponsor dog, which means he will remain with his foster carers for the rest of his life, with GRACE support. If you would like to contribute towards looking after Charlie by making a donation towards his veterinary care, food or treats please get in touch with us. Welcome Scout, our 2 year old new boy who has just come out of the vets as you can see. As he's young he's still a bit daft, so will take time to mature. Scout would be great with another greyhound. He has not seen other breeds yet. As he has just come out of the vets, Scout is not yet ready for his forever home, but will be in the next couple of months. Sligo Edward (name to be changed) is a white and brindle boy who is nearly 3 years old. More details to follow as he is still with his trainer. Connie is a 4 year old fawn girl. More details to follow as she is still with her trainer. Target Kem (name to be changed) is a white and black boy who is nearly 4 years old. More details to follow as he is still with his trainer. Say hello to new boy Power (name likely to be changed) who will soon be joining the GRACE gang. He's a bit shy at first but soon comes round. We will be assessing him when he arrives as to what type of home he will like.
Beautiful Delilah is 5 years old and a lovely sweet-natured girl. She is playful, loves a snuggle and enjoys Kong treat toys. Say hello to Sox, a Saluki boy who's 7 years old and looking for his forever home. We are still waiting to assess him, but don't think he will suit a home with cats or small furries. Olivia is a two year old female bull lurcher. She is house and crate trained, and has basic obedience. Olivia is okay with other big dogs, but cannot be in a home with small dogs, cats or small animals. She is very smart, eager to learn and strong. She will need an active home with sighthound experience, as well as an experienced understanding of dog behaviour. She responds best to calm, clear leadership and will take advantage if not given structure. Due to her size (30kg) and energy level she is best suited to a home with older kids, if any. She learns very quickly and is toy, praise and food motivated. Olivia loves to learn! She can be dominant with other dogs and is leash-reactive towards other dogs when walked by anyone she doesn't respect as a leader. She has a reliable long-lead recall. Olivia is microchipped, vaccinated, and spayed. Handsome Captain Tom is a beautiful 6 year old black boy, who is currently being fostered by one of our GRACE foster families. Oakley is a gorgeous 4 year old black boy, who will be coming into GRACE soon. More details to follow. Lilly is a 2 year old black greyhound girl. As Lilly is young, she would suit an active home. She is great with other dogs. She went out on a trial visit to a lovely home, but couldn't manage as an only dog. We think Lilly would do really well with a brother. If you can offer Lilly her forever home please contact us. Bramble Buster is a 4 year old black boy. More details to follow as he is still with his trainer. Jumeriah Toby is a 3 year old black boy. He is pictured here with Sligo Rovers, who is also in need of a home. More details to follow as both are still with their trainer. Say hello to Reuben who is looking for a relaxing retirement home. Reuben is approximately 5 years old and didn't have the best start, but has been in a loving home for a number of years. Sadly Reuben's mum was no longer able to care for him, so he is currently being looked after by one of our GRACE foster families. Reuben is good with other dogs but not cat friendly. He has great recall. If you can offer Reuben a home please contact us. Thank you. Jet, a 3 year old black and white boy, quite confident and outgoing. Would suit a lively home. Jet can live with other dogs but preferably his size. New boy Bolt is 4 years old. He has not arrived with GRACE yet. We will need to get to know his personality, but don't think he would be good with small dogs. Grace is a GRACE sponsor dog, which means she will remain with her foster carers for the rest of her life, with GRACE support. If you would like to contribute towards looking after Grace by making a donation towards her veterinary care, food or treats please get in touch with us. Chloe is a 5 year old greyhound girl who is looking for a special home. Chloe isn't keen on small dogs, she is not cat friendly or any small furries, but she is ok around large dogs if she can meet them on her own terms. Chloe does like the sound of her own voice and likes to tell the other dogs what to do. Chloe would like an adult only home, she would love to be an only dog but if not she can live with a male of similar size. Chloe needs a sighthound experienced home due to her high prey drive. Chloe is very loving in her own way and bonds with people very quickly. Chloe is loving and playful. If you feel you could offer Chloe her ideal home please contact us. This handsome chap is Elliott, a gorgeous 4 year old handsome black boy. Elliott is great with large dogs and getting used to smaller dogs. Elliott is currently being looked after by one of our GRACE foster families. He is living with them as an only dog, so does not need another dog for company. Can you offer Elliott his perfect home? He's been waiting over 6 months. Say hello to Tully, our lovely 6 year old greyhound boy. Tully is a sensitive boy who needs another chilled dog as company. Tully cannot live as an only dog as he gets stressed. Tully has been living in a home and is a happy friendly lad. He walks well on the lead and is great around people of all ages. If you can offer Tully his perfect home please contact us. Drop the Pilot is a 5 year old black greyhound boy. We are waiting for him to come into us as he is still with his trainer. Keg Master is a 4 year old black greyhound boy. He is good with large dogs, but has not been tested with small dogs or cats yet as he is still with his trainer. Devlins boy is a 2 year old black greyhound boy. He is good with large dogs, but not yet tested with small dogs or cats as he is still with his trainer. Sian is a GRACE sponsor dog, which means he will remain with his foster carers for the rest of his life, with GRACE support. If you would like to contribute towards looking after Sian by making a donation towards his veterinary care, food or treats please get in touch with us. Rosie is six years old. She is not cat friendly or good with small dogs so she would suit a home as an only dog or with larger breeds. She is currently living with a foster family who have two Border Collies. This handsome lad is Scar and he's a 6 year old greyhound boy. He has not arrived with GRACE yet, so we will need to get to know his personality. We believe we will be looking for a special home for Scar as he gets a bit possessive over his food bowl. He needs an understanding adopter with no young children who may want to put their fingers in his bowl. Scar has lived in kennels with a greyhound girl, so could be rehomed with a female greyhound or similar size. If you feel you might have the experience to offer this handsome lad a home please get in touch. Daisy is a GRACE sponsor dog, which means she will remain with her foster carers for the rest of her life, with GRACE support. If you would like to contribute towards looking after Daisy by making a donation towards her veterinary care, food or treats please get in touch with us.Buddy and Rufus
